Driver 1.22 Message during 1.04 RC12 Install?
After clean installation of 1.04 RC12 (Win XP Home SP2) I always get the following error message in a small window:
Driver Info Required version 1.22
Driver Not found perhaps you need to reboot after install.
After I reboot, I get the same message. What is this Driver 1.22 that the message is referring to?
thanks for any info........I have no problems with version 1.02 (stable).

Re: Driver 1.22 Message during 1.04 RC12 Install?
The driver is not auto installed.
After installation, when you selected to download the driver, you have a drivers.zip in the install folder.
You also can download it manual.
http://sc.uvnc.com/drivers.zip
This zip file has the driver version 1.22 for w2k/xp/vista/xp64/vista64
Goto the correct os folder and run install.bat ( as administrator)
In Vista, you need to have the elevated admin acces. Open cmd "run as admin" goto the correct folder and run install.bat
If installer fails, you also can do it via the control panel.
control panel -> add hardware -> Install the hardware that i manual select...
->display adapters->have disk ->browse
select the mv2.inf file in the corresponding folder

Re: Driver 1.22 Message during 1.04 RC12 Install?
Thanks for the reply........It isn't intuitive during the installation process that you need to do that manually.
perhaps a suggestion for the final release version: option during installation to automatically (or select as an option) to install the driver for the proper operating system.
thanks again for your reply.

Re: Driver 1.22 Message during 1.04 RC12 Install?
Rudi, thanks for your answer.
I tried to install the XP driver with the two ways described before :
One strange thing is that the driver version i can see in the system manager is 1.1.0.0, dunno if it's normal or not.
Thanks for your help.
P.S : My W2003 SP2 is virtualized, does it change something ?
I tried to install the XP driver with the two ways described before :
andGoto the correct os folder and run install.bat ( as administrator)
When i look in the system manager, i can see the "mv video hook driver2" video card correctly installed (same result with the two installation ways) but i already have the error message :control panel -> add hardware -> Install the hardware that i manual select...
->display adapters->have disk ->browse
select the mv2.inf file in the corresponding folder
The reboot changes nothing.driver not found: perhaps you need to reboot after install

Re: Driver 1.22 Message during 1.04 RC12 Install?
perhaps its time to move on to RC13 but you have to install new drivers and also rc13 viewerbisII and rc13uvncbisII
find those here
Main setup
http://switch.dl.sourceforge.net/source ... _Setup.exe
drivers
http://sc.uvnc.com/drivers.zip
then replace both viewer and server with the following files
http://sc.uvnc.com/dev/winvnc_RC13bisII.zip
http://sc.uvnc.com/dev/vncviewer_RC13BISII.zip
follow driver instalation files as previous and please provide simple screeshoots of what you experience.

Re: Driver 1.22 Message during 1.04 RC12 Install?
Try runnning as administrator, could be a permission problem.
I guess you only get the Message, when you press the check driver button, and not during installation.
Problem not related with title of thread.

Re: Driver 1.22 Message during 1.04 RC12 Install?
I experienced no bad issues or anything like you describe with the driver or RC12 but then again this is now on RC14BIS on both counts...

RC14BIS also has the issue for me.
I rolled back to 1.02 that works just fine.
Thanks for the feedback
