Hey all,
Currently, I've got my SC executable configured for encryption with the address to connect to being my computer name... let's call it mjordan2007. Well, this works fine for people on our network but for people who tunnel in via VPN, it tries to resolve my computer name on their primary NIC as opposed to the tunnel.
Are there any options other than changing the binding order? Or ever better, totally different suggestions for how I should do this?
Part of me wants to install the server on all computers so I can big brother into 'em but I'm not sure if it'll fly with management unless the user is prompted with a "Blah blah wants to control your PC" or something.
A totally other question, can you work safemode restarts into a server installation as opposed to needing to use Single Click?
Thanks so much guys. I'm new to this. My company has been using Netmeeting to remotely troubleshoot and, as you don't need to imagine, it sucks.

Best way to configure for a helpdesk involving VPN?

You obviously lack the creative genius to integrate Legos and Duplos.

Normally, you'd install repeater on, I guess, the domain controller PC and have it going off of that. Unfortunately, the system admin would never go for that. We're still using netmeeting for christ's sake so you get a feel for where he stands on trying new things.
