SC on Local Lan
SC on Local Lan
I have a quick question. Does port 5500(or any port) have to be open for sc to work on a Local Lan.

Re: SC on Local Lan
Is this on a domain environment or a workgroup?
When the ultravncsc.exe is launched on the host machine, it normally searches for the repeater specified in the helpdesk.txt. Since the host machine is making an outgoing connection, it will automatically open the required port. When you launch your vncviewer, it also makes an outgoing connection to the repeater. The computer running the repeater should have ports 5500 and 5901 open to connect successfully.

Hope that helps.

Re: SC on Local Lan
on same LAN
if there no firewall, there no need to forward port
but if there firewall enabled, port forwarding required.
