The 1.5 beta version worked great for me. I was able to modify the helpdesk.txt file and I could get a list of hosts so that the user could choose the connection I wanted them to choose.
Every time I run create.bat, the pchelpware server that is created will not come up with the list of connections. It comes up with the logon screen and then tries to connect directly.
Any ideas as to what I'm doing wrong??
I have modified the helpdesk.txt that is in the custom folder to have multiple hosts, none of which have the word 'direct' in them.
I'd appreciate any ideas
thanks

Cannot get host list to appear on the server -
Re: Cannot get host list to appear on the server -
Were you using the right package?
The GUI of PcHelpWare beta 1.5 is similar to the SC style. However, the formal release (1.0) has switched to a new GUI design which only have ONE connection host.
The SC style GUI (that can host a list of connecting host) is no longer bundled with the PHW 1.0 packaged, but is avilable for download as a separated option.

Thanks.
I downloaded the 1.5 beta gui as you suggested and it is working well with the 1.0 release viewer. It is allowing me to set up multiple connections.
I'm hoping that future releases will allow the gui to support multiple connections. Otherwise I'll have to provide individual servers for my clients to cover when I'm in the office and when I'm on the road with the laptop and aircard.
Again, thanks for the quick reply. that did the trick.
