Hallo Folks,
I have a problem with PCHelpware 1.0. When I make a Server for my LAN it will works very fine. A connection is opened.
But when I will do the same with dynDNS I will receive the following Error:
Failed to connect
Es konnte keine Verbindung hergestellt werden, da der Zielrechner....
Init Network failed.
I'm using a the router from Netgear. The DynDNS-IP-Adress is o.k. I'm testing with the ping-command. I'm opening the Port-Forwording in the Router-Setup (Port 5500). All clients using a static IP-Adress.
Have I forgot anything to do?
Today, in my office, the PCHelpware will working very fine. And here at home only with local IP-Adresses.
Please, can anybody help me.
Thanks for all.
Nimrod

Re: Connection to Server is failed
Hallo redge,
i am checking every kind of parameters. The name of DynDNS is also failed as the original IP-Adress behind them.
I think, the problem is the clint in my home-network. But I don't know why?
Have anybody an idea?

Re: Connection to Server is failed
I can't think this, because the port-forwarding will works very fine with my emule. It will works also with a port-forwarding.
Or is this not the same?

Re: Connection to Server is failed
Hi Folks,
I have solved my problem.
Following I have done:
1. Open the Ports 5500 + 5900 Windows-Firewall
2. Delete the automatic IP-Update with my Router
3. Installed the DynDNS-IP-Updater
4. Portforwarding on my local IP-Adress (Ports 5500 + 5900)
5. Passwort len is less the 7 letters
Now, it will works very fine. I have tested with my friend.
Thanks for this great tool.
Best regards
Nimrod
