I am using UVNC SC for some kind of support for my family and friends. It works fine, so the configuration can't be the problem I suppose.
There is a rc4.key included in my VNC and also inside my support.exe and it works on most machines, but sometimes, for unknown reasons I get this screen:
The file itself is available here: www.hundebier.de/support.exe and I can upload the whole VNC folder too if necessary to find possible reasons.
The linke I am using to start the service on my server is this one:
C:\Programme\UltraVNC\vncviewer -listen -dsmplugin MSRC4Plugin.dsm
The dynamic IP resolution works also for sure. So what else could be a problem? I am not sure if it depends on the OS: It happens on Windows XP and also sometimes on Vista.
Thank you for your help. Great software.
btw: Is it allowed to use this software for a company? Or would that exceed some kind of open source license?

Re: sometimes problems
who failed is there a wireless connection ?
could be the issue for many reasons... (low quality wireless, conflict with others frequency, try change channel, low signal, so far)
sometime, the SC can kill the connection if there to many animated on state of webpage on the remote computer. (like wetter channel)

Re: sometimes problems
Since your setup worked in most times, the configuration should be OK.
If this happen again, I suggest to check DSM Plugin Config. setting at viewer to see if it using the right key.
The viewer will look for and use the key at these sequency:
1. The path specified in %msrc4pluginkey%
2. The folder you start the vncviewer
3. The folder you start the vncviewer link
4. the folder \\System Volume\Program Files\ULTRAVNC\
5. the folder \\System Volume\Program Files\ORL\VNC\
Check if the rc4.key used is the one you expected to be.

Re: sometimes problems
Thank you for your answers YY and redge:
I am not sure what exactly I should check on those 5 locations. Because the funny thing is if this does not work from a specific computer of course what I test is if it works from a second computer (that used to work before). Just to be on the safe side regarding the configuration on my side. So IP, ports, service running etc. And it does work.
So I think I can exclude the side that later on can controll the side where the single click solution gets started.
Can we exclude this side to be the problem if it works on most clients without any problem?
My idea was that someone can give me a hint what kind of application, action in the background etc. can cause this so I can include this to my things to check if this problem happens again. A firewall does not bring this problem I suppose because the initial connection obviously works (I get this popup on the listening side when someone starts the single click app.)
Usually the people download the file from a website, so they type in the URL and get the file, the IE should show a blank, non animated page. And all the people get the file from the same location. This is only important for animations which are currently displayed, right?
I don't think that a bad wireless connection is the problem, because in this case the whole internet connection might have an issue.
