I have some problem with helpdesk.txt menuedsystem.

You can test this:
@echo off
taskkill -f /IM winvnc.exe
taskkill -f /IM webgetd.exe
taskkill -f /IM oneclick.exe
exit

Can you also make a option that makes it possible to choose if you want the time/toolsbox or not in the "create customer module"?
It currently does the following
winvnc.exe" -kill'
tskill" "winvnc"
taskkill" "/F /IM winvnc.exe /T"

There are no problems in direct mode but none of the kill methods seem reliable to kill the menued version in service mode yet but I'm working on it.

The Timer is a plugin and is not needed to uninstall or use OneClick so it is now optional as requested.

Version 1.8.6.2
---------------

- The popup timer is now optional.

- Removed the tools url from the timer. It's now placed on the desktop and start menu.

It's a free download at:

Just to let you know that 1.8.6.1 is working fine here.

Given that the tools facility runs the user's browser in the system context, it launches the browser without any of the user's configuration, such as favorites/bookmarks, add-ins...
I'm going to launch the timer as an application in an upcoming release to avoid the system account problems. The new timer layout gives me more room to expand it (horizontally) to add things.

Fixed... it now runs as an application.

Version 1.8.6.3
---------------

- The popup timer now runs as an application even if OneClick installs as a service.

- Added the tools url back to the timer (the more menu this time, not a button). It's also still placed on the desktop and start menu.

Send me your customer module so I can check the settings...

I should have v1.8.6.4 ready to test tonight. Adds up to 10 custom tools in addition to the tools web page. The items don't show up if the are not defined. They can be any command, even local (on the remote machine)files (bat, txt, exe, html, pdf, doc etc.). They don't have to be web based. Seems to be working pretty good in my tests so far.

Try http:// or https:// instead of an ftp site. It filters out FTP since it's supposed to open a web page (html file) instead of an ftp folder. I guess I can change that. Will try to get it in the next version.

I released the update early, it will allow you to use an ftp site.

- The Custom Tools Website can now be ftp:// or ftps:// instead of only http or https

Hi pgmoney,
Thanks for the option with the toolbar. :D

I have tried to replace the uninst.bat with the code I wrote to you in the temp folder and it work it closes the application right.

If you look in the uninst.bat that are made in the temp folder it only contains following string
@echo off
"C:\Users\XXXXX\AppData\Local\Temp\xxxxxxx.tmp\winvnc.exe" –kill
exit

I will be happy if you could fix the menu problem. I really need the application to close the menu when costumer is hitting the cancel button and that the menu soul dent come up again after disconnecting the costumer (then he must click on the menu to close it).

One more thing that should be nice is if the close button (the X) on the remote tool those the same as when I closing the remote with close alt. in the menu on the icon at the taskbar.

Another good thing that could be nice is that the installation program could check if I have a old icon.dll in my SC Source Folder, so it don’t overwrite the one I have made. If I don’t have wrong, don’t you have the check on the splash.bmp and some other files?

Thanks 4 a good product! Keep up the good work
Wink

The service mode OneClick bat file uses

@echo off
uninst.exe
exit

the uninst.exe sends tskill etc...

You must be talking about one of the non-service mode OneClick modules. Maybe that's why I'm having such a time trying to duplicate the problem. I'll see if I can find the problem using non-service modes.

My ftp site is: ftp://ftp.metrovalleycomputers.com/tools
and I already took down the http site.
However, no matter what website I enter for the TOOLS page it always ends up www.advantig.com

I'll try this new build and see what happens.
Sorry to be a pita.

I tried it again and no luck.

No matter what I do, the creator makes the tools go to:
www.advantig.com/tools

Frustrating

Ok, found a typo... did a last minute add of ftps:// after testing and goofed up the ftp:// string. Had too many interuptions and forgot to re-test... sorry.

it was looking for ftp://: I missed the extra : in the compare string, if it was an invalid URL it auto-sets it to advantig.com/tools without warning. I fixed that and the typo.

The 19.0.6.5 update will not let you enter an invalid URL. You have to enter a valid URL or accept the default. It should prevent future confusion.

Yay! It worked! Nice job.

Could you also allow us to change the "tools" icon that is placed on the desktop and the start menu.

Thanks!

When do you release the new update?
Yes it is the non-service mode customer module uninst.bat that is wrong.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Oki it is a new version on the site. You have forgotten to update the version text on the website.

It still overwrite the icon.dll file(SC Source) if i already have one.

Is it possible to fix so when I am closeing the RD-window with the (X) is the same as choosing close from the menuIcon ( the icon beside the clock - rightside) on the taskbar.

Now it works with the menu :D Thanks

Phil,

Tried 1.8.6.4., and I much prefer the user mode timer window. Thanks. One niggle, though - the tools icon on the timer launches the boot config rather than the tools page, here.

The tools page was moved to the dropdown menu with the other 10 tools. I use the SysConfig (Boot options) more than a tools page so I thought it just made more sense but I'll go with the majority vote...

Ha, well I'm not sure a majority of one should influence your development too much
I guess I was conditioned by the earlier versions where the spanner icon brought up the tools page (sounds eminently sensible), and when you said you'd put it back I was surprised to see syscfg instead of my tools page when I clicked. No big deal.

Version 1.8.6.8 Beta 1 is available for testing if anyone is brave enough..

- How many different ways can you add tools to a customer module...
Added a custom toolbox option (My ToolBox) between the Tools Website
selection and the 10 customizable tool commands on the "More" menu
of the timer. On the desktop and start menu it's named 1cToolBox.

Anything in the OneClick\Tools folder when you build your customer
modules is added to your customer executable. The more there is in
the folder, the larger your executable file size will be.

- Self-contained pre-populated technician viewer that needs no installation
is not ready to test in this beta.

It's available from the Download Beta link about half way down the page on the right.

Tried the Beta and not bad!
However, I don't think I would use the 1cToolBox tool.
It would make the download pretty big. I would just stick with the regular "tools" method. Nice though.

btw, When installing the 1.8.6.7 version it says 1.8.6.6 on the Welcome to Advantig... screen.
