My customer has changed ISPs. They were on directway satelite with a static IP and UVNC worked ok -long legacy due to connection.
They are now on DSL with a static IP. The ISP has the ping blocked and UVNC will not connect. The only change being the ISP/IP.
HELP!!!!!!!!!!!

Ping or Not to Ping
They must have some kind of firewalling.
Ask them to open the port TCP 5900 in the firewall for the machine that hosts their UltraVNC server, so your viewer can connect to this server
Instead, you can also use an UltraVNC single click package so they don't have to open the firewall ( In this case that's the server that connects to your viewer). Please refer to the related thread on this forum for details.

Your and their firewall settings may not have changed, but something between you and the remote site is blocking thes ports.MCA_NS wrote:The firewall settings did not change in the switch. Also I am unable to connect using the add client feature in the server.
If their ISP is doing NAT it may need to be configured properly.
