I am also having this error and have not found a workaround yet. There is not issue and it works fine if I start the UVNC server from the start menu, but I can not get the service to accept any password. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,

Mike

UVNC 1.02 is not vista stable. You must use the RC5 to have vista support..:)

The Problem is vistas UAC will not let it work..:(

I am running Vista Home Premium. I uninstalled version 1.0.2 and I have downloaded and installed RC5. I am unable to figure out how to enter a password when starting the server.

Question - is RC5 supposed to be installed on top of version 1.0.2?

Note - I have used the viewer from RC5 going to a server on an XP machine; it works but not as well as the version 1.0.2 viewer that I had installed initially.

It is really best if you completely unistall 1.02 and remove the service out. Then reboot and reinstall RC5..:)

That is what I did. But I am still unable to get a password into the server so it will not let me connect.

There is also no way to run it as a service!?
Thanks,

Mike
