OneClick version 1.8.5.5 is now available for download.

Version 1.8.5.5
---------------
- AERO disable feature is back, 1.8.5.4 was compiled with old source files by mistake.
- Fixed creator bug that wouldn't work with some existing helpdesk.txt files.

I just used the program to help one of my customers. (Version 1.8.5.4)
He told me that the old background did not come back. Why?

Try using 1.8.5.5. It may help. Wallpaper restore and reboot prompt problems are still being worked on.

Okey. Thank you.

THANK YOU ADVANTIG for the new update.!

Anyone else having a delay problem?

About 5 – 10 seconds between the time you click on an item and the results show on your screen. Don’t think it happens with all clients all of the time.

Not yet, but I'm already working on it. It will be in the next release.

v1.8.5.5 should have fixed the Vista delay... I'll do some more testing but be sure the customer is running an updated customer module. If they run the old (or cached) one there may still be a delay since 1.8.5.4 didn't disable Aero graphics.

Thanks Phil.

Tested again this morning with 8.5.5.5 and the delay does seem to be gone. Must have been using the old module. MY test machine lives here in the shop so I can check it from time to time to be sure.

1.8.5.5 does offer reboot in XP but I have not seen that in Vista yet.

Grrrreat job!

OneClick version 1.8.5.6 is now available.

Changes in Version 1.8.5.6
-------------------------------------
- The goodbye message is now user configurable. If Goodbye.txt exists in the
SC Source folder the custom message will be displayed, if it is missing,
no message will be shown. The Goodbye message can be one line of up to
255 characters. An example file is included and used as the default.

It is available for download at:

Hi Advantig,

I have some requests for the new release of Oneclick

1. A option that can remove the startup logo (the delayed logo1.bmp) of the program for the client (I am using the menu system).

2. A option that makes it possible to change the icon for the compiled program (oneclick.exe).

3. And one more thing when the client close the program(oneclick.exe) from the close button in the menu system he have to close it two times before it closes(it must be a bug).

I have purchased a licence. :-D

Yours sincerely
Chris

1. I'll try to get it in the next release.
2. Done in version 1.8.5.7
3. I'll have to check on this as it closes normally here if you double-click the system tray icon on the remote system or use the Stop shortcut on the desktop. The menu item should be the same.

Version 1.8.5.7
---------------
- You can now change the icon and file information used by the customer modules and technician webviewer. You will need to use a resource editor to replace the icon in the "icon.dll" file located in the SC Source folder. You can also edit the company information, product name, version etc. that is displayed in the executable module when hovered over by the mouse and shown in properties. A more efficient and easier method will be developed later.

Thanks for all the work on One Click.

Can you recomend a resource editor??

My only request would be that the display can be set to a lower choice such a windows standard. The connection is is more stable at a lower display.

Thanks again for the product.

I just tried a freeware resource editor called ResourceHacker (v3.4.0.79) by Angus Johnson and it seems to work great There are some available with more features if you want to pay a lot but this one does the job very well. There may be other free ones but I just downloaded the first one I Googled.

http://angusj.com/resourcehacker

The display is controlled by the settings on the listening viewer, just change the command line to a higher quick-option number. The default is /quickoption 4, change it to 5.

The OneClick file on the website was the updated version, I just forgot to update the version number on the web page.

2 Questions:

1. Can I change the "green eye" viewer listening task tray icon on my PC?

2. I run the UVNC Listener on my Office PC. I also have a laptop that I travel with. Is there a way for me to control my customers computer using my laptop while I travel? I've been using remote desktop to connect to my Desktop from my laptop to do this. Is there a better way?

Thanks!

"Stop Remote Support" causes my listener to crash (maybe because I'm using a beta?) unless I close the window fast enough. Can you add an option to add like a 5 second delay after clicking the "stop" icon before it actually stops?

Also, I'd like to see the "stop" icon appear in the Start menu as well because sometimes my clients want me to leave their programs up and running after I'm done.

Thanks!

To change the green icon you will have to recompile the vncviewer.exe.

The repeater option will allow you to use it from anywhere.

I'll add them to the todo list. The UVNC RC5 Viewer is pretty unstable. I'd recommend going back to v102 or use the one supplied with OneClick for now.

OneClick beta version 1.8.5.8 might help, you can give it a try. it can be downloaded from the OneClick page at

http://www.advantig.com/oneclick

Changes are listed below.

-=] JC [=-

Version 1.8.5.8
---------------
- Added a user configurable password prompt to the customer modules.

- Added a Daily PIN option to the password prompt. If enabled, it will
append the 2 digit day of the month to the end of your password. If
the password is blank and the option is enabled, the password will be
set to the 2 digit day of the month only.

Examples: (password set to "help" and Daily PIN option enabled)
30th day of the month: help30
30th day of the month: help31
1st day of the month: help01

(Daily PIN enabled with blank password)
30th day of the month: 30
30th day of the month: 31
1st day of the month: 01

- Added a user configurable YES / NO message to the customer
modules. Up to 4 lines of 200 characters each can be
written to the Startup.txt file in the SC Source folder.
(default is C:\Program Files\Advantig\OneClick\SC Source\Startup.txt).
If the file is missing or blank it will be skipped. It's main
purpose is for a disclaimer prompt but can be used for any
Yes/No question.

- Added a user configurable splash (splash.bmp not logo.bmp)
to the customer modules. The Splash.bmp is shown when the
customer module is launched, the logo.bmp is only used in the
WinVNC selection menu. If the Splash.bmp exists in the
SC Source folder, it will be used instead of the default.

V1.8.5.8 beta 2

- Added a Stop Remote Support link to the Windows Start Menu.

- Added a 5 second delay to the uninstall and reboot option.
This will give you 5 seconds before the software uninstalls
and the system reboots.

- Increased the reconnect time from 15 seconds to 45 seconds
to give more time for whatever caused the disconnect to clear up.

This will be the last update for a few weeks, need to hear some feedback before continuing...

Image

Version 1.8.5.8 beta 3
----------------------
- Added an on-screen timer to the service mode customer modules.
Will add it to the other modes later. The normal icons are still placed
on the desktop as well just in case...

Clicking the X in the upper right corner will exit with no prompt.

Clicking the X icon on the bottom menu bar will exit with a confirmation prompt.

Clicking the Bell icon will ring a bell on the remote machine.

Clicking the Pause/Start icon will pause/start the timer.

Clicking the triangle icon will pull down a menu. Not much there yet,
It's still under development.

Thanks for all your work on this. One question. The logo.bmp I currently use pops up before one click starts. Should I remove the logo.bmp and replace it with the splash.bmp in this version. Just a little confused how that works.

Logo.bmp will not pop up before oneclick starts anymore. It is only shown on the menued UVNC singleclick. The only one that is shown by OneClick when it starts up is Splash.bmp. I had a lot of requests to allow people to use something besides the small square logo they use in their conection menu. If you want to show the same logo on both, copy it and name it Splash.bmp. If you only use DIRECT customer modules, only the Splash.bmp will be seen.
