RD: Error connecting to existing session ... (Id 0).

Post by franc »

Hello,
i installed UltraVNC 1.02 on a Windows Server 2003 and got big Problems on the next reboot: Bluescreen due to vncdrv.dll.
So i started Windows in Secure mode (F8) and uninstalled the UltraVNC. Still bluescreen. So i cleaned in Registry all that vncdrv-garbage and the System started again normally. OK.
But now if i log on to that machine using Remote Desktop with the /console switch i cannot login, i get:
Error connecting to existing session for Administrator (Id 0). The operation completed successfully.
If after i log in physically i can log in again with RD. But if i restart the server remotely by RD i won't be able to log in like described above.

I read that this behaviour can come with UltraVNC:

Does anyone knows a hint?

Thanks, franc
