Connection o.k. but no desktop of remote pc displayed

Hello everybody,

I'm using SC with the MSRC4Plugin_NoReg.dsm plugin for encryption.

The connection from the client to the viewer-machine (viewer in listener mode) works obviously properly (Balloon-Message and result of netstat-command unter WinXP), but there is no desktop of the remote-pc displayed. It seems like the programm won't start. I configured everything as mentioned in the manuals.

If I start a connection without the plugin for encryption everythin works fine.

Is the machine windows xp home or media center edition that you are trying to control??

If so then disable fast user switching and turn off any password protected screen savors..

UVNC uses session 0 of the console hence you might be having issues..

Is more then one person logged into the machine at one time??

No, there is only one person logged on at one time on each machine ...

The black screen that you are getting is because uvnc can not connect to session 0 ( console)

What other applications are installed on the machine giving you this issue.. Any firewalls that might be blocking outgoing ports??

Tip: With Single click if you are using Default ports 5500 some antiviruses like norton will block the use of that port do to some internet worm about 4 years ago that used it.. So make sure that an antivirus application is not causing you this grief.

I tried the connection without firewall and antivirus-programm, but it didn't help. I tried a second version without encryption-plugin and it worked fine.

When I use my version of sc with the encryption-plugin I even don't get a black screen. On the client-side I get a message that the connection is running. On the pc where the viewer runs in listener-mode happens nothing. Only a error-message when the connection on the client-side is closed.
There are no other applications likely to cause this problem.

edit: I have only installed the viewer on my machine, could this perhaps lead to such problems?

Rename the MSRC4_no_reg.dsm to MSRC4.dsm

rc4.key file has to be included in the customized zip folder

make sure that the plugin and the key are the same version on the viewer and the single click customized zip

I tried all this, but it didn't help. Still the same problem....

Is it necessary to have the plugin in the single click customized zip?

Do you have any ideas?

O.K. just found out:

1. put MSRC4Plugin_NoReg.dsm in custom.zip and rename into MSRC4Plugin.dsm
2. put MSRC4Plugin.dsm in your uvnc programme files folder
3. create new_rc4.key on your machine
4. rename it in rc4.key
5. copy the rc4.key file in custom.zip
6. create your exe with online-creator

Everything works fine!
