Pros/Cons of installing as a service
Pros/Cons of installing as a service
I,m just starting to experiment with UltraVNC and it isn't clear to me what the advantages or disadvantages are to installing as a service (other than the ctl-alt-del capability, which isn't of much concern to me). I expect that nearly all of my use of the program will be in helping friends with problems, using the Single Click version of the server to get their end going.
Re: Pros/Cons of installing as a service
To run VNC as Service is very helpfull, if you want to restart the remote-computer. VNC starts with the Windows User Login Interface, so you can get a connection and login. Without Service somebody at the remote-computer has to Login and you can't get a connection before.

Re: Pros/Cons of installing as a service
So far, SC seems to be working well for me, aside from the cursor issue that I described in another post. The ctl-alt-del limitation isn't important to me since any time I am helping someone remotely, I expect that the oner of the machine would be available to reboot and restart SC if necessary.
