Viewer for VNC sc

Post by Offerlam »

Hi all

Been fooling around trying to get the VNC sc to work. I have set up my router to forward on port 5500 5501 5503 5504 5551 5552 5553 5554

to my computer LAN IP

i have followed the guide for the helptxt file it all seems to work as it should though i can't get the connetion from my VNC SC to show in my viewer.

When i open my viewer i can choose some setting allso where i choos to config encryption and so on. I can allso choose to connect to a server i think.

I think this maybe wrong because of this little note i found in the forum faq:

7 - Now Run Ultr@VNC Viewer (Listen Mode) from:
Start -> Programs -> UltraVNC -> UltraVNC Viewer (folder) -> Run UltraVNC Viewer (Listen Mode)
Your computer is now listening on port 5500 for incoming connections.

how do i know if my viewer is running in listen mode?

if you have started ultravnc viewer as listen mode,
move mice over systray icon of UltraVNC (black box, background green, eye black)
you should see "Ultr@VNC viewer listening - Port:5500" without quote.

or

Start ... Run.... "C:\Program Files\UltraVnc\vncviewer.exe" -listen 5500

ah ok thansk!

im under the impression that if I have a client running my custom.exe file and start my viewer in listining mode it will pop up with my client connection and ask if i want to start session or something like that, right?
