Unable to connect to destination host

Post by r00st3r »

I have a linksys router. I changed the vnc server to port 5959 and it works fine with a direct connection with the viewer.

I change the vnc server back to 5900, sstart the repeater, and port forward 5901 and 5500. I get this when trying to connect.

Unable to connect to destination host, errno 10057. I do not see this error anywhere in the forum. can't think of why it won't work.
I disable the repeater, change the server port back to 5959 and port forward 5959 and it works fine...I have the new repeater installed.

workaround

I have a workaround. I had to set the "Restrict ports..." in the repeater setup options to 0 (allow all). I had 5901 in there but it wouldn't take it.
