Whenever I (client) open a chat session with one of my customers, I always see, in MY chat box, my computer name and my customer's computer name. However, whenever I look at the chat box open on my customers side (host) it shows my IP and their computer name. I'd prefer that they NOT see my IP and they see something else instead, be it a username, computer name, or even domain name... I don't care. Just something else.
More details: The host computer doesn't see my internet IP, they're seeing my IP that I use in my office's network (example: If I use IP 192.168.1.10 for my ip on my network, they see that number, not my computer name). My customer is on a completely different subnet.

Do what I do, Use notepad!
Re: Chat session shows my ip on host chat window.
Is there a fix on the To-do-list to transfer the user name from the client to the host?
When I start the chat they have no idea who is chatting with them when they see the IP address.
Thanks,
Docfxit

No, you can always send it as first message.
When you chat with the user, he already granted you access to his desktop.

What is a first message.
I don't have it setup for the client to grant me access. For support I connect when ever I need to.
Thanks,

Bump.
Any updates on having client name not IP appear in host chat log window?
Thanks.
