Is SingleClick THE solution for a Remote Support Business?

Post by BMWGuinness »

As Far As Pay Services...

I've been looking at several solutions, and so far, the best offsite hosted solution is Bomgar. They offer an annual 1 tech license subscription for $1188 (which comes to $99 a month). This means unlimited connection, but only 1 tech at a time. Additional licenses are the same price.

The best locally hosted solution I've found is Helpdesk VNC which basically looks like a customized VNC one-click solution. They have a one time charge of $125 for the first tech, and each additional tech is discounted.

What are the advantages and disadvantages of UltraVNC SC as compared to the pay solutions listed above?

As a start-up Remote Support Business, I plan to support Windows clients only, and most will be running versions of XP/Vista.

actually not, because Vista Aero issue for SC,
disable aero for the time of remote support, then enabled back while SC disconnected.

should be fixed next SC but don't count it before fews month.
(SC no problem with Vista Basic or any Vista if you disable the aero effect)

pchelpware for now is better for both OS XP/Vista without change anything on remote computer.
support international keyboard (UTF-8)
viewer of remote screen fully scalable
you need full directx 9 support for local supporter (otherwise you need to use the lower speed mode GDI if you see a black screen)
