can't see office 2007 menu box in word and excel

sometimes when i am shadowing a client that is using office 2007, i can not see the menu box in word/excel. i can see the little windows circle in the top left corner turn orange as if it is open (and the client can see the menu open normally) but i can't see the menu.

any ideas?

winvnc.exe is executable
UltraVNC is only a name like Real VNC , TightVNC
(we speak here about UltraVNC without any comment
