allow vnc to only access or view one program

Post by tommyarmour »

My question is simply the subject. Can you set it up to where ultravnc only sees one program on the computer it's connecting to. Im trying to network 2 computer's together one with the program quickbook pro. The second computer I want to only be able to access quickbook pro and nothing else. Is this possible?

can't you just maximise the program and disable to controls (viewing only)?

No I don't want viewing only. I want to be sitting at my computer why the accountant vnc's my computer and does the payroll from her computer. But I don't want her having access to anything else.

Are these two computers on the same network? Could you install the program on the accountants computer and map a drive to your quikbook data and that would be the only shared directory.

yeah I could just map the drive, I considered that actually first off. And there is a copy of quickbook on both computer's. But the program is best ran from one computer. Or else you would have to do backup and restore everytime and a usb thumb drive does that. I posted this question a different way in a different forum and came up with a solution with vnc. Thanks for your time anyway.
