Random ID

Post by Sma »

Is there a way to generate random ID-numbers, so users would only have to input a password? I found somewhere in here a vbs-script, but that doesn't serve my purpose...

From my understanding, you define the ID number prior to creating the server app. It is this ID number that creates the link between your viewer app and your server app so that you can see the users PC. Therefore, you couldn't generate a random number, as both the viewer and the server need to have the same ID.

But wouldn't the mechanism be like when asking a user for an ID, but instead the program would generate an ID and show it to the user?
