Hi There!
We use SC extentensively to support our client base and it has been the saving of some serious travel miles
Recently a few of my more forward clients have asked for vista and sadly we have had to bow to thier superior knowledge <snigger> and provide it.
However SC doesn't appear to be compatible, giving updates to the screen very very slowly if at all. Is there a fix or work around?
Would PCHelpware fix this? Does it have faster screen updates and work pretty much the same way from an end user perspective?

SC VNC and Vista
Re: SC VNC and Vista
Same exact issue here ! We use SC to support numerous customers that utilize Vista now. We are using Vista Business as our primary OS, and have found that when customer connect to us for support, only Vista to Vista connections experience this delay. Of course - UAC has us clobbered as well. Sure hope they are able to come up with a solution soon. Regards - Scotty
Re: SC VNC and Vista
Same here -
Hadn't used SC in a while, started it up on a friend's Vista. My sys is XP.
She gets my update immediately, I get her update after 8-14 seconds.
Help!

Re: SC VNC and Vista
same problem .. i hope , someone can fix this problem ...
Re: SC VNC and Vista
I've gotten it to work on my laptop that has Vista. I did notice a huge speed increase when I turned off Aero, then it worked fine.
Re: SC VNC and Vista
use esvnc on vista, it work more faster than ultravnc or wait for ultravnc 1.0.4
Re: SC VNC and Vista
We found that reducing colors from 32bit to 16bit made all the difference - this automatically disables Aero. Disabling Aero but leaving colors at 32bit still resulted in very slow screen refreshes.revo1059 wrote:I've gotten it to work on my laptop that has Vista. Re: SC VNC and Vista
I disabled the Aero Desktop during remote control session. It's much faster.. I never testet vnc on a non Vista system. So I don't know if it is normal speed without areo.. but it is realy faster.
If you use SingleKlick VNC on the remote computer.. you could also disable aero by rightklicking the vnc.exe -> Settings -> kompatibility.
