Question about automatic connections

Post by jammiedodger42 »

Congrats on a great project.

I'm building a launcher (flash projector) for PcHelpWare and I'd like it to automatically connect when executed.

As far as I understand it there are 2 ways to achieve this:

1. Use the '-direct' command in 'helpdesk.txt'.
2. Use the '[DIRECT]' command in 'helpdesk.txt' (GUI SC).

Unfortunately neither are ideal...

The 1st method works great until the session is disconnected. Upon which it displays the PcHelpWare login screen (something I'd like to avoid).

The 2nd method briefly displays the classic GUI before connecting. This looks messy.

Is there anything I'm missing? Are there any other alternatives? For example, is it possible to send commands directly to 'PcHelpWare.exe'?

Thanks in advance for any assistance.

When you build your file choose the auto reconnect featurew. Should help. It is available for both types.

Thanks for the suggestion Ken, but I don't believe that'll prevent the login screen opening if the viewer is unavailable or if the connection is intentionally closed (at the viewer end).

Please correct me if I'm wrong.
