Now that I've finally managed to get PCHW running properly, I would like to spam it with our company logo and also set up a repeater. The repeater is an issue I need to raise with our Web people.
As for the company branding, I have tweaked the background.bmp to suit, but can't find out how I can move the position of the Connect and Quit buttons. I have done a search on the forum for this and even downloaded the ResHacker program. I have found out how to change the layout of the viewer, but can't find how to change the server layout.
The logo runs along the bottom, so I'm trying either move the buttons up, or up and over to the right.
linoter posted a message (sticky) - new gui - which shows a radically changed server screen, so I'm assuming it can be changed.

Re: Moving the Position of the Connect & Quit Buttons
What you need to use is a utiliy called resource hacker.
It will allow you to change a number of things including the location of the boxes/buttons.
I use it so that only the ID, connect & quit bits are visible.

Re: Moving the Position of the Connect & Quit Buttons
arc - I have already downloaded and tried Resource Hacker, but can't find what I'm looking for. What file exactly did you amend and in what folder is it located. I'm sure that I have tried to open every file in every folder. Maybe it's a case of not seeing the wood for the trees!
Re: Moving the Position of the Connect & Quit Buttons
It helps to take a fresh look at things.
I went through all the files and realised that I didn't check all the EXE files.
For those who want to change the look and feel of the server application, you need to do the following:
1. Download something like resource hacker from http://www.angusj.com/resourcehacker/
2. After starting Resource Hacker, you need to open the file PcHelpware.exe in the create_server folder
3. Expand the Dialog tree and click on 2067
4. This will display the dialog with the Login and Password fields and the connect and quit buttons
5. The position and size of the fields can be changed by either typing in the changes directly, or by using the form control handles
6. Once you're happy with the layout, click on the Compile Script at the top
7. Save the file and quit (a backup copy is created called PcHelpware_original.exe)
8. Start the viewer and create the server
9. Test the newly created server application to ensure it looks right
10. You now have a custom designed server. Make it available to your users
Hope this is of help to someone.

Resource hacker can do little wonders for you , but there is one thing i cant change. I cant change exe file info in created(from viewer) PcHelpWare_server.exe. When i compile the script the saved exe file is corrupted or something. I posted a picture so you can see.

Re: Moving the Position of the Connect & Quit Buttons
dado023 - I strongly suspect that this is to do with the fact that the server application is a compressed executable, so making any changes to it with Resource Hacker or any other program will corrupt it.
Secondly, it also protects the developers rights by not having someone change the information, and claiming it as their own. I am quite happy to leave this information as it is. The only changes I have made is to amend the look and feel of the server app itself, to incorporate our company logo.
