Username now required?

Post by curtis-r »

I was suddenly having a problem using UltraVNC 1.0.2 related to a corrupt riched32.dll file. Though resolution simply involved expanding a fresh copy from my WinXP CD, at first I thought it was an UltraVNC 1.0.2 problem.

Before I discovered the solution, I tried reinstalling 1.0.2, then installing 1.0.3 beta. Now as I'm trying to remotely connect to that server it wants a Username and Password, when before it was just Password. I've tried every system Username I can think of (and tried leaving it blank), but I cannot connect.

Until I can physically get to this computer, anyone know what UltraVNC would use as default for Username?

Username is not required except if you enable MS-Logon

if you enabled mslogon,
you need to know the username and password of the remote computer (server) and maybe domain/username if you have enabled new mslogon (mslogon II) and the server (remote computer) is part of active directory

if you don't want MS-Logon but only classic VNC password
you need to uncheck box mslogon
