get it working!! we need ultra vnc! i know its being worked on, but STEP on it! do you need more donations or something? i dont see why you dont just charge $10 a license for this program, i would pay that easily. i absolutely love this program and so does my lazy ass body!

Unfortunately, the developers do not work on UVNC the whole day! They have jobs and a family that is more important.

Try a look on msdn about vista and its changes in kernel and driver mode. You get a good overview of the problems that a developer encounters.

Yes I do agree instead of complaining that it does not work in Vista (I don not see anywhere were it said it did) Try to help find a solution. The Idea of open source projects is that everyone cooperate to get the tasks done. People tend to forget how much work needs to be done on these projects. More developers are needed, along with document writers, active users who assist on forum questions, etc.. Time for everyone to help out!!!!!!

im sorry, it was never my intention to imply the developers are slacking. far from it in my opinion, i think ultravnc is an incredible program and its basically invaluable to me now. thats why i asked if they need more donations, im fully aware it takes countless hours of frustration to get software working right. i would love to actually help on the project but believe me i would just be slowing progress down more then anything. its a shame that my job has been so slow, i wouldnt ming making a generous donation right now. i simply dont have any money, its been hard for me to get by too. i wont forget though, i will make every effort to send some money their way when i get a chance.

thank you and i hope something breaks soon, for everyone's sake!

I could never get RC test 3 version 1.0.3 to work on Vista - but I did get 1.02 of the server to work by adding C:\Program Files\UltraVNC\MSLogonACL.exe to the Exceptions in Windows Firewall. Never had any problem with the client.
