Hi,
I have an open internet-connection without firewall/nat directly connected to a workstation running the repeater and viewer.
I create the server program with these settings:
- via repeater [yes]
- user proxy https [yes]
- id [123456]
- host repeater [my public ip]
Customers on a company netwerk using www.proxyplus.net can create a connection but other customers on a large company network with a unknown proxyserver get the error: "socket operation was attempted to an unreachable network".
What can I do to debug this problem; I don't know where to start.

Some proxy servers work / some not
Re: Some proxy servers work / some not
if your firewall checks for valid certificates or major packet inspecting then it may not work...
Re: Some proxy servers work / some not
Is there a list of proxy-servers that inspect packages?
Is there a way to bypass this?

Re: Some proxy servers work / some not
No, there is no such list.Is there a list of proxy-servers that inspect packages?
A proxy carries major packet inspecting means there are some rules that determine which packets can go out/come in the network. Each proxy can be setted with different rule.
Can you provide more information like:Is there a way to bypass this?
1. What kind of proxy is using? (http(s), and/or socks 5) Is it a normal type or transparent proxy (i.e. not necessary to have a setting in Internet-Connect Option)? Does it need authentication?
2. All the messages output from the viewer when making the connection upto getting the said error message
Re: Some proxy servers work / some not
Customers with this error are working on a closed WXP machine, internet options are hidden, they have also no access to the registry. How can I find out the answer with these limitations???YY wrote: Can you provide more information like:

I can't tell.papalima wrote:Customers with this error are working on a closed WXP machine, internet options are hidden, they have also no access to the registry. How can I find out the answer with these limitations???
Your customer had setted up a secured Network & a secured Station, they may have their reason to do so. Have you asked for their concurrence so that to have their IT's help to install PHW with an open outbound route.
Base on the error message, most likely the port used by PHW is blocked.
Can you advise the message from the viewer when making the connection (the box above "Start" button
