Machine running VNCserver reboots when attempting to login

Post by e-an »

Hi All,

I've just setup UltraVNC but am having a slight problem. Runnings WidowsXP Pro and whenever I attempt to login into the machine using VNC it gets as far as accepting the password and then resets the machine.

I cant seem to figure out why its doing this but would really appreciate any suggestions or pointers of things to look at.

Thanks,
Iain

check the vnc video hook driver (device manager) and see if it installed correctly.

Indeed, most possible cause is the mirror driver...

You can also uncheck use driver in the server polling menu, this
allow to test if you can connect without that the driver is used.

Drivers are low level, and can do nasty things when versions
get mixed or in combination with some special video drivers.
