Loopback

Post by roland »

Hi all, could i get an explaination as to what "allow loopback connections", "loopback only" and "enable blank monitor on viewer request" are for and how they work or if you could lead me to documentation that would be useful to. Thank you.

loopback is where you 'loopback' to yourself. Ie. connect to the server program running on your computer. Usually to check if things are working..

allow loopback connections: lets this happen, otherwise i think you woudnt get a connection.

loopback only: the server can only be connected to from the computer its being run on.

enable blank monitor on viewer request: this allows the person that is using the viewer to press a button and then the server machine's monitor goes black

I think thats all right, anyone wanna correct me?
using latest code.... always... except when im not.
