Hide viewer in task bar

Post by magicfuh »

is it possible to hide "PcHelpWare_viewer.exe" from task bar and shrink to system tray when it is minimized?

it's helpful to make helpdesk always available.

It may be a better appearance that the viewer sitting on the system tray. This idea is not bad.

At the point of "make helpdesk always available", the viewer must be start to wait for connection. There s/b no big difference whether it is minimized or shrinked to the system tray.

Here's links to two freeware programs that allow you to minimize any program to the system tray
http://www.teamcti.com/trayit/trayit.htm
http://www.veridicus.com/tummy/programming/powermenu/

I haven't used either of them, but they were recommended by Gizmo Richard's in his support alert newsletter http://www.techsupportalert.com/issues/issue144.htm

I test the powermenu, it works but the application can be closed/terminated the same way except now it sits on the system tray.

But this free utility has other interesting features: make the application windows becomes transparent (from invisible to normal); always on top;... and works w/o installation.

Really cool. Thanks mattice
