One of the nicest things I am missing from uvnc is to create a simple desktop shortcut to start de viewer in listen mode like:
vncviewer.exe -listen
I see there isn't a --help option either.
I've tried to run it like this:
PcHelpWare_viewer.exe conection.phw
or
PcHelpWare_viewer.exe "absolute_path"\conection.phw
...with no results.
Does anyone know how to do this?
And a last sugestion. If you aren't planning the --help switch, you should at least include a docs/ folder with a few .txts.
Keep up the good work

PcHelpWare_viewer.exe --listen ?
Re: PcHelpWare_viewer.exe --listen ?
The docs for pchelpware can be found in two locations
1.) the online manual at www.pchelpware.com
2.) The step by step for pchelpware located as a sticky in this forum..
I mostly just create a shortcut to the viewer and place it on my desktop. Since the viewer can save multiple configurations no need to have more then one shortcut anymore

Re: PcHelpWare_viewer.exe --listen ?
i dont create a dozen shortcuts. I create my own viewer launch interface with a .hta page ans launch from there. Would be nice to launch straight into app.

Neither of which addresses the question.bevtech wrote:The docs for pchelpware can be found in two locations

This is seems to be an annoying over site, I want my support techs to simply have it running once they've logged in without having to pick which session and click the start button. This was possible with singleclick, I've taken a quick look at the source and there doesn't appear to be any dealing with the command line at all, If I had access to a Windows c++ compiler I'd look at adding a fix myself.
If I find time I may look at building a mini viewer front end in Delphi which I do have access to.
Re: PcHelpWare_viewer.exe --listen ?
I agree this is a major oversight. We won't be able to convert from UltraVNC SC until this is fixed. With UltraVNC we could put the listening viewer in Startup on multiple workstations, always keep it open, handle multiple simultaneous connections, and never have to restart the viewer all day long. With PC Helpware the viewer stops every time you close a connections and needs to be restarted. What a pain. Am I missing something? Also, it didn't seem to work with my helpdesk.txt file for our multiple [HOST]'s.
I hope SC gets fixed for Vista.

Well the listening mode option I am not sure about but you can download the SC GUI from the main www.pchelpware.com site if you want a helpdesk.txt with mulitple hosts in the same file.

Re: PcHelpWare_viewer.exe --listen ?
Did you guys ever get the --listen variable - or some sort of alternative to work?
I use the 'listen daemon' in the same way from UVNC SC - and would like to start the server without having to go through several clicks. Plus, it would be nice if it stayed in the system tray (down in the lower-right corner). It seems to only show on the taskbar - and not minimize to the system tray.
Otherwise, great program!

Re: PcHelpWare_viewer.exe --listen ?
I'm also looking for this solution as it's really needed to migrate from SC to PCHW.
Is there any progress on this ? The vncviewer commands in it would be nice.
