Hello everybody, especially developers of this great utility.
I have one 'special' problem with connection through repeater.
My mum sometimes need help with computer in her work , but she have internet connection only through proxy. I have direct connection to my computer so when we using PChwlpware , it must be configured for connection through proxy & repeater. I have repeater on my computer , so she started configured pchelpware_server connection to repeater, I've made it too and connection is successful. But my problem is, that sometimes I am not at computer but repeater is running on it, and mum finished at work but still needed help, and after she leave work there isnt posibility to starting server again . Conection to repeater is successful and server is waiting for viewers connection, but after few minutes repeater logs said :"Remove server" and "Server removed from list " .
Everithing would be ok , but Server do nothing, it still waiting for viewers connection (I have configured -direct and -autoreconnect options but in this situation is unuseful becouse server doesnt recognize that was removed from repeaters list, and of course doesnt reconnected) .
So my question is: Is there any possibility to turn off "automated removing of server from list", so if there is conection of server on repeater, it doesnt be removed automatic but only if server will close . Is there some hided option or something like that?
Thank you for answers and some solutions for this situaton .
Best regards.
P.S>: Sorry for my bad English.

Re: Problem with connection through repeater...
If I understanted, you would need to start the Pchelpware server after she leaves work??

Re: Problem with connection through repeater...
Yes, of course. But I dont have any conection to that network. So for me, best way how to solve this situation is that she started Pchelpeare server before she leave from work.
I know that for my situation best solution is something like clasical vnc (real, ultra or whatever), but my mum doesnt has big skills with computer especially networks ) so I welcome this helpful utility, easy to use and configure.
I was trying install UltraVNC server at shes work , connection tunneled through ssh (putty) but I had problem becouse it still warning with "Error version protocol" (I am stoping encryption, doesnt work, I have the same versions of UVNC installed , doesnt work) so I choose PcHelpware.
My second idea is that ::: on mums computer will be running PcHelpware server and Repeater, and repeaters listening port of viewer will be forwarded through ssh tunnel to my work Linux server, witch is still power up, and when I want connect to repeater, simple connect to my Linux server and forward my local port to repeaters listening port of viewer.
mums comp. Pchelpware (WinXP Home ) -----> repeater on mums comp. 5500
listening port of viewer on repeater 5901<----ssh tunneled (forwarded)from my work (Linux) server 30000.
If I want connect to Repeater::
ssh forwarded 5901 ------> binded port on linux at work 30000
So She dont need to start again PcHelpware server, connection with repeater is permanent. (but repeater removing server from list after few minutes if viewer doesnt connect to repeater)
Problem is that she have only WinXPHome there is no RPC server like XP Professional, only client of RPC.
So I need some VNC software, but Uvnc still sucks with some warning like I mentioned above, so I choose PcHelpware.
I know there is lot of other useful stuff around the net (Hamachi and so.) but .....

Re: Problem with connection through repeater...
Does she happen to use Outlook at work? You can set up a Rule in Outlook to start your server when she receives an email with a certain item in the subject line as in [topic=5612][/topic].
Re: Problem with connection through repeater...
Oh thanks for great solution. It seems to be a nice idea. I think she use Outlook at work and maybe this solve my problem.
I will try out that Outlook mailing rules , and I hope it will be working.
Thanks.

Re: Problem with connection through repeater...
Hello again.
So I tried Outlook at mums work, but there is only Outlook Express 6 not Outlook from MS Office which have Messages Rules actions like START APPLICATION or RUN SCRIPT . In Outlook Express there is only action about send, delete, forward mail and etc.
Is there any email client (open source ) with similar functionalites (start application, run script etc.)?
Thanks.

Re: Problem with connection through repeater...
Now everithig works fine ....thank you guys , you save me lot of time of searching... Really nice idea to work with automated message rules.
After all of searching, I try Mozilla Thunderbird_portable with 'mailbox alert 0.11' extension, and it works fine. Tomorrow I'll try mentioned Poptry 3.2 , it seems to be good too, maybe even better.
So, thanks again for helping me solve this problem.
