I am so close to moving to pchelpware, but there are a couple things nagging me that I cannot figure out or find on the forum.
First is, multiple connections to the viewer.
I have several connections simultaneously on the sc/viewer-listen setup, this works great! But the features of pchelpware are very compelling. However, I cannot figure out how to have multiple simultaneous incoming connections with a single viewer. Is this by design or am I missing something?
Second is the auto-connect using -direct or [direct] in the helpdesk.txt. I cannot get this to work. I have been over the post about this and used so many variations I can't get my head around it. Does the -direct work and how is the syntax/location in helpdesk.txt? Please, someone that can confirm it, I have RTM and STF with no success.
Great software! The new viewer is awesome. Any chance in getting the viewer toolbar and config working in SC or in UVNC any time?
Thanks.

Re: multiple incoming and auto connect [direct/-direct]
I don't know the answer to your first question, but to have the server automatically connect to a listening viewer you need to manually edit the helpdesk.txt file that's stored in the PcHelpWare\create_server\custom directory and add ' -direct' to the end of the line.
Then manually run the Create.bat file in the in PcHelpWare\create_server directory. It'll create a new PcHelpWare_server.exe file in the PcHelpWare\myservers directory (not in the alias directory).

One the pchelpware website there is a link for the sc gui.
This maybe what you are looking for but I never tried to run more then one viewer at a time with pchelpware..
PCHelpware server bin (GUI SC)

Yes, (for my best knowledge) PHW-viewer cannot handle multiple simultaneous incoming connection.jptechnical wrote:I cannot figure out how to have multiple simultaneous incoming connections with a single viewer. Is this by design or am I missing something?
But you can run multiple PHW-viewers at the same time and each one of them handling one connection.
You should follow some rules: Each viewer must use unique port,
Eg. if you have several direct connection, they should be listening on, say: 5500, 5501, 5502 ..... respectively. Of course, you need to generate the server accordingly
e.g. If you have a connection via uvnc.com as repeater, you should not use port 5901 in other viewer session (5901 is the default port of uvnc.com repeater to communicate with phw-viewer)

Re: multiple incoming and auto connect [direct/-direct]
Thanks everyone!
Another question, anyone know if the possibility of multiple simultaneous connections is on the horizon?
