PChelpware Server as SystemService

Post by mmiii »

Hi,

is it possible to run the PChelpware Server as a Windows System Service ?
If not, it should be possible to connect to a running server without starting the viewer before. e.g. starting the server via autostart.
The PChelpware Server should not terminate by ending the session via viewer.

That would be very nice to logon to the PC of my parents without starting the server manually.

Thanks for help

For tech support of mom and dad you would be better off setting up UltraVNC as a service on their PC and opening up either TCP port 5900 to use the UltraVNC viewer or both TCP ports 5800 and 5900 to use the JavaViewer the next time you're home.

As an alternative, you could send them your PcHelpWare_server.exe file and have them connect to you once. Then use this connection to set up UltraVNC as a service for them.
