Possible to make SC start in reverse mode?

Post by kasa0625 »

I'm not sure that is the right terminology, but what i want to do is this:
i want a client to beable to download this Custom SC i made and when they click on the "Product Demo" line it opens a connection that has them viewing a specific window on my computer.
is this even possible?
making a new exe would also be an option(it doesnt have to be the same as my remote support exe), but it would have to go thru my type II repeater.

The window sharing option of UltraVNC from what I hear from other viewers may not work properly..:(

But yes you could just send the viewer and setup the server on your computer.. The shared window however may be another issue

I am not sure i know what you mean. It feels like ther is a mis communication somewhere here. I am going to put up (an abbreviated) copy of my helpdesk.txt so hopefully it can explain what i can't.

now if the client computer runs helpdesk.exe and double clicks on "Keith"
they connect to the repeater located in my office and wait. i then click on my icon (shortcut: vncviewer.exe -proxy 192.168.0.1:5999 ID:111) and we then connect and i have control of thier PC.
If they click on "Demonstration" it blinks away and no systray icon stays, the program unloads itself from memory, but on my repeater log it says:
Viewer added to list 666
accept() connection

so i run VNCServer add client 67.53.67.67:5500 ID:666 and the repeater log says:
Server added to list 666
local input is EOF
Server Removed from list 666
Viewer removed from list 666

what am i doing wrong?
i like to think i am an intelligent person, but i am a complete idiot with uVNC step-by-step would be helpful.
thank you for any time you spend reviewing or solving my problem.

well using only single click i do not think that you can share just a window and not the entire desktop.

That is why I was saying that you could send a viewer and make your computer the server...

but that is another idea.

Did you open the ports 5500 and 5599 and forward them to the currect workstations??
