Things I would like to see

Post by Stargazer »

I like this whole idea, I would like to see it stay loaded and just waiting for the connection, more like what logmein does, I dont need something that the user has to start, they dont understand this function. Also would love to see a file transfer so when I need to copy a file I can. Thanks

If I am not seeing how to run this so a user doesnt have to click the connect also let me know.

1) File transfer is already included...
via copy/paste
remote copy == ctrl-alt-c

2) A lot of company's does not allow non interactive access.
The user need to to start the application..., this also ensure
PHW have the same access as the current logged user.

If you make a service (pre VISTA), and let hime wait for connections, the application
always have admin access... This should be avoided.
VISTA does not longer allow service access to desktop.

I have PcHelpWare set up so my family members only need to click Connect. Surely users can understand this.

Add [DIRECT] to your helpdesk.txt and send to your family and have them copy to their desktop so then they will only have to double click on the icon and they will see the splash screen and it will then connect to you.
