Query Accept Doesn't work when UltraVNC runs as a service

Hi,

can someone please inform me if they have managed to fix why UltraVNC 1.0.2 cannot allow the client's computer to prompt the Accept / Reject Message when UltraVNC runs in service mode??

Whilst running as a process, this isn't a problem, but as a service, which everyone would agree is much easier to restart remotely and configure, it just doesn't work.

I've read something about when running as a service, the code by passes the Query Accept / Rejection message box??

I've honestly not had a problem with it.

I'm not using MS Logon II, but I doubt that'd make a difference.

By "doesn't work" do you mean the prompt is completely bypassed?

Yeah, the promot doesn't even come up..

I have a similar problem. I've been installing and uninstalling the server on a computer - trying to script an auto/silent installation. The Query window was working great until today. Now it's not coming up at all.

I was able to get it working again once, by changing the setting in the defaultsetting window, and changing it back. The next time it was installed, it stopped working again, and I can't get it to work no matter what I do.

Any help or insight would be appreciated.

Try this...

Restart the computer.. i think the shell needs to re initialised or something.. But this worked for me..

Install with the correct settings, restart or even maybe just try a log out.. And then it should work.

I can get the query to work, but not with MS Authentication enabled. Restarting etc hasn't helped.
