Hello,
has anyone tried to connect a Ultravnc server to a pocket PC viewer running on a PDA?
What are your experiences and suggestions?
I tried to connect a WinXP running UltraVNC RC18 with two different VNC for Pocket PC running on an iPaQ Pocket PC:
1) http://www.cs.utah.edu/~midgley/wince/vnc.html
2) http://www.allware.com.mx/wwbase.exe?Ar ... aximo=1010
The connection was via a WLAN card in the PDA connected to an internal (fast) LAN.
The first viewer seems to have a bug with the click pressing (buttons cannot be pressed over internet) and is extremly slow. The second is very slow too and brings to an halt the PDA after a short while.
I wonder if this has anything to do with the server (UltraVNC Rc18). Has anyone tried with the standard RealVnc or other VNC servers?
Do you know of any other viewers for Pocket PC 2002 (ARM) that I could try? (with a Ultravnc viewer connected on a windows PC, the connection is super so I would prefer to keep that on).

I was successful viewing my UVNC machines through Wlan on my Ipaq2215 using vncview3351. It was slow, as this was a different distribution of VNC, so I assumed it didn't take advantages of UVNC's extra special goodies...
Also, it was a PITA to scroll around constantly on the PPC... If the UVNC crew is feeling ambitious, it would've been nice to have a rough graphic at the top for zooming below as it would help with quick navigation of a desktop set to high resolution. Methink UVNC for PPC is a backburner project considering the other reading I've done here.
