AutoReconnect seems to work, however...

Post by Gues »

AutoReconnect seems to work, however when I keep the machine unplugged for around 10 seconds, the viewwr then disappears.
I think the autoreconnect is working in a way because if i unplug the NIC for say 6 seconds then plug it back in, I can resume controling the servers desktop.

Anyway to prevent this?

I didn't know there 'was' an AutoReconnect feature. As far as I know (not too far) in 10 seconds it times out. Where as in 6 seconds it hasn't yet, and then the connection comes back, so it picks it back up. Like if lag created 6 seconds of ping time, then it would still work, but not at 10 seconds.. which is a really bad ping time. ;p

... or i could be way off...
using latest code.... always... except when im not.

Well...
I've added the autoreconnect option in about 10mn, 1 year ago, following an -important  - user request.

The need was autoreconnection of the WinVNC on a listening viewer over erratic connections...

As far a s I remember I can play on the timeout param... just let me know what you need.

I donno how hard it would be, but a user set timeout would be really cool.
