Unpack the zipped folder.
Then read the "! Read Me First" txt before use,
it has all necessary installation instructions.
This includes all the latest files needed for simple
direct-connection one listener singleclick remote support
without repeater, and using all the needed PcHelpWare files.
Packaged for the UltraVNC community.
Hope some will find a use for it.
The Read Me First text is pretty straight forward and newbie proof..

Re: ! Simple up-to-date Package for direct-connection
There is a step by step written for phelpware rel 1.0 there is a section for direct connection I am pretty sure. It is not perfect and some additions are coming soon for it.
It is listed as a sticky on the pchelpware subforum

Re: ! Simple up-to-date Package for direct-connection
Yes, I've seen it.
It's way too complex for many users who don't need all the extras.
Plus the packages aren't linked directly there
and don't include all the latest dlls and such.
I did.
This is my Read Me First content included in the package:

I did.
This is my Read Me First content included in the package:
I n s t a l l a t i o n :
- First edit the files in the /custom folder to your likings.
helpdesk.txt
is the crucial one, it contains your listening
viewer's host IP-address or hostname(s) and port-number.
I use port 5500 in the example.
You also see a "ma.cx" domain name as a host.
http://ma.cx is a free service where I can change IP address,
I use it when I'm giving support while not at my main IP.
background.bmp, logo.bmp and icon1.ico can be changed to
your likings. Other examples can be found at http://www.uvnc.com/
- Double-click/Run the file called "Create.bat"
/server
This is where your PcHelpWare_server.exe will appear.
You can rename the file to any .exe you like
and then offer it on a website if you want,
so you can give remote-hands support.
/viewer
This is where the viewer-side program is.
You may want to install one of the drivers under /viewer/drivers
depending on the operating system you're using.
Start the viewer and add an Alias by setting a name
in the upper left corner.
Then set the Listen port (as set in helpdesk.txt) and make sure
your PC and router have this port open (bypass NAT and firewall).
Other options I personally set:
Quality: Low (fast Black & White screens)
Auto reconnect
I unset "UPnP" Auto map.
Then press Save to save the Alias profile.
Next time you start the viewer, you can double-click the alias
and have it use all your preferences and Start listening.
For support go to the Forum at http://forum.ultravnc.info/viewforum.php?f=31
Enjoy!

Re: ! Simple up-to-date Package for direct-connection
The latest dll's are not always stable until released as stable.
We I disagree on being too complex for beginners
You need to realize that Ultra VNC is a world project and some of the developers are not native english speakers.
You have already been warn by one of the projects head Admins to be polite as possible yet you still come across across as harsh and rude..

@Sure
Thanks for this constructive contribution. That's the kind of thing that is usefull for the community.
Just try to be less rude and upsetting when talking about the work of others (even when you think this work needed improvements), and everything will be even better

Oh give me a break! Be glad I'm even IN this forum once or twice a year. It seems the PC Helpware project barely has any development going.UltraSam wrote:Just try to be less rude and upsetting when talking about the work of others
You people should check the length of your toes. If you can't do the time, don't do the crime.
