Which is the lastest verison...

Post by soem1 »

Ok
Ive been using UltraVNC for a bit now...
Just got to SC...

Ok
When I use the link on UltraVNC, it just fowards me to the homepage again.... *guessins link is dead*

Right, now with on the forum ive found a few links...
Am I right in thinking that there is an online and offline maker?
*why is this!?*

Is this the lastest verison of the online one?
http://www.uvnc.com/pchelpware/creator/index.html
then which do i select?

UltraVncSC based on RC23
or
UltraVncSC based on REL1.00

and what is:

This creator can also be used to generate SCIII. To use it for SCIII creation, you need to add the winvnc.exe (SCIII) in your zip file you upload.
Name need to be winvnc.exe

all about???

now, which is the lastest offline verison? is this it?

http://freehost04.websamba.com/duckware/sccc.exe
or
http://www.swiss-adsl.net/redge/scwizsetup.exe

Could someone please help me out!?

The latest verision would be pchelpware

www.pchelpware.com

It usually works extremely well just dont forget to read the online manual and the step by step;)

Is it true that the end-user side of PCHelpWare must have DirectX installed where as with SC this is not the case?

You can disable the direct x option( from within the viewer)

From what I have heard that it is really only required on the viewers pc but I am not 100% on that that fact.

DirectX is only used to have a faster scaling viewer.
No directx required on the server site.

I think 1.00 is newer than 23 (for whatever reason - maybe it's really 0.23?).

While it's true that PCHelpware is newer than both, in PCHelpware you can't use a manual IP address and port.

Someone needs to [topic=4530]create a special version or at least tell us which paramters to use to do it outselves[/topic].

You should also mention that the FTP in SC is a much better interface.

For PCHelpWare they use explorer and copy-paste for it.
