Direct connection problem

Post by alexk »

Hi all,

I have troubles connecting from my customer's PC to the viewer. The viewer is running on the computer which is behind a firewall/router. On the router I'm forwarding connections to the TCP port 5507 to the computer that runs the viewer.

I created the server using direct connection, no dynalias (I have a static IP address), no repeater. The port number is 5507 as well. The IP address was detected correctly.

However when I run the server on my customer's computer it says "a socket operation was attempted to an unreachable host", yet I can ping my IP from the customer.

Any idea what's wrong with the configuration?

Thanks a lot!
Alex

Never mind, I found the prob. The customer had that port blocked for outgoing connections.
