Video/mirror/hook driver - clarification

Post by gpk »

Just to check - does this really only affect the performance on the server?

For example, if a window is scrolled on the server, is this "sent" to the viewer as a new bitmap for the window in question, or is the viewer told to scroll part of the window and given a bitmap for the new part.

Maybe having the video driver makes no difference here, but obviously if the server has to upload an entire new bitmap for the window whenever it is scrolled then performance will be much slower ...

Thanks for any comments/clarification

with vnc flavor 3.3.x , there no cache for wallpaper, so server sent every picture to viewer
