Is it true that the end-user side of PCHelpWare must have DirectX installed where as with SC this is not the case?

You can disable the direct x option( from within the viewer)
From what I have heard that it is really only required on the viewers pc but I am not 100% on that that fact.

DirectX is only used to have a faster scaling viewer.

I think 1.00 is newer than 23 (for whatever reason - maybe it's really 0.23?).
While it's true that PCHelpware is newer than both, in PCHelpware you can't use a manual IP address and port.
Someone needs to [topic=4530]create a special version or at least tell us which paramters to use to do it outselves[/topic].

You should also mention that the FTP in SC is a much better interface.
For PCHelpWare they use explorer and copy-paste for it.
