PcHelpWare 1.0 problems with setting up

Post by morpheus_1983 »

What wanna do is make a solution with UltraVNC where the Customer needs to type in an "Session-ID". So that he can't request sessions all night long and goin on my nuts.
Would be also nice if the Session-ID would change each time.

Well im workin on IT for some years and im not a beginner on PC's.
I already made a workin ultravnc SC but the damn pchelpware wont run.
Following Sysinfo
i got a unix router running and following ports are forwared into my LAN for my 3 PC's
5910 for my buro machine x.x.x.10:5910
5911 for my private machine x.x.x.11:5911
5912 for my laptop x.x.x.12:5912
and using no-ip.org dyndns-service
does it mind if UVNC.COM using same port as my laptop server ?

Few days ago i saw the solution with ultravnc on a customer where some software-engenier connectet to the customers and changed VAT onto 19% in germany and he sent me one exe file where i had 2 type in an session-ID and im sure it was pchealthware with the SC GUI.

All worked fine today with SingleClick with portforwarding.
Now i wanna do the same way with PcHelpWare without portforwarding to use it anywhere without bypassing or hacking the firewall where i am on the LAN.
I also read the manual, The tutorials and the readme so dont gimme a RTFM but i didnt get it at all.
Did i got following things right ?
Both users need the exe file, but is there some difference between both files ?
Do i need the encryption plugin for PcHealthWare ? I always get the message if i close after 2-3 mins that the encryption is not loaded or something like that.
Would it work also if i run on one of my machines the listening viewer on 5910, 5911, 5912 ?

Hope some one can help me or give me some hints.
Will be thankfull for any Help.

Greetings Michael

Did you read the online manual and my step by step that is listed as a sticky in this forum??

Keep in mind that UVNC and Pchelpware are completely different applications so the viewers are not compatible

I have been using this in beta forms and I actually have less problems with pchelpware then single click..;)

replaced "massiv problems" by "I need some information"
sorry.

Would be also nice if the Session-ID would change each time.
automatic possible with programmer customize User GUI interface of server and viewer.
already exist, manual request user input ID
---- helpdesk.txt ---
-connect uvnc.com -id ask -password ask
--- helpdesk.txt ---

remove "-password ask" if you don't want any password request but less safety.
see the glossary of pchelpware_viewer about password.

Both users need the exe file, but is there some difference between both files ?
yourself require local pchelpware_viewer (vncviewer not compatible)
your remote user/customer require pchelpware_server (PHW_SC GUI)

Do i need the encryption plugin for PcHealthWare ? I always get the message if i close after 2-3 mins that the encryption is not loaded or something like that.
PcHelpWare built in encryption TWF 256 and is not compatible UltraVNC
so never install and never use dsmplugin.
remove -dsmplugin or -plugin from your helpdesk.txt and do not use vncviewer at all !!!!

does it mind if UVNC.COM using same port as my laptop server ?
No,
port 5912 is used only by repeater for pchelpware direct dynhost dynname
won't conflict with your laptop port 5912 with ID mode mean via repeater, nor direct dynalias

Would it work also if i run on one of my machines the listening viewer on 5910, 5911, 5912 ?
vncviewer never work with pchelpware.
pchelpware_viewer can listen this port for direct mode only, via repeater, pchelpware_viewer never listen but do an outgoing connection only to repeater.

viewer create only the server

for create single file pchelpware_viewer script,
you need to be programmer for customize source of pchelpware_viewer GUI only.
