Hi,
I have a notebook computer that I use at work where I have a static IP and a direct (cable and fixed internal IP) connection to the router. I set up SC to work with the static IP and port forwarding from my static IP to my internal address. It works fine. I would like to be able to use SC when I am travelling also. I have a separate network connection for a wireless card that I activate when I am on the road. This connection uses DHCP to resolve its address. I set up a NO-IP account and am wondering how to set up the NO-IP host to work with my environment. That is, can I maintain my regular connection and use SC with the static IP when I am in the office and use the wireless connection and dynamic IP when I am travelling.
As far as SC is concerned I don't see a problem because I can configure helpdesk.txt for 2 separate hosts. Then my clients will choose the proper connection when I want to support them. My question relates to maintaining two network connections when using NO-IP. Will there be a conflict?
Thanks
Stuart Richler

NO-IP has some software you can put on your laptop and it will update your NO-IP to your current Internet connection.....
BUT.... the problem you will face is that were ever you may find your self and your using port forwarding the router will not be setup to forward the IP to your computer....
