Remote reboot support needed!!!

Post by flies »

Hi,

We use ultravnc for remote controlling. We have more than 100 PCs on the remote end. The system are XP pro sp2. The problem is that sometimes we have to restart the remote PC, but it hang on there maybe some process cannot be closed. The vnc server is still alive so that I can log on with vncviewer. But what I can see is just a blank screen. I can't do anything else.
I used a simple tool to do the reboot. It should be "force reboot". So, i think it should be a bug of the xp os.
But since vnc server is still alive, I wonder if it can add a function to process this situation. Maybe it can find which process block the rebooting, and then shut it off, and then re-execute the reboot command.
I would be very glad if you can think about the request in the next version.

Best Regards,

Jianfeng Wu.
