My internet service changed and I now have a dynamic IP address instead of the static IP I used to have.
How can I use SC without re-compiling every time my IP changes?

SC with dynamic IP address
Re: SC with dynamic IP address
Sure, simply go to www.no-ip.com and follow the directions, the same spot you are entering in your IP address (in the .txt file) you will now enter your newly created static domain name!
Re: SC with dynamic IP address
Thanks for the reply. I went to no-ip and got a static domain name and the DUC program that keeps no-ip up to date on my ID address.
However after compiling a new SC connection, I can't make a connection.
My helpdesk.txt file shows
[HOST]
Start Online Session
-connect http://xxx.xxvnc.com:5500 -noregistry
(note: x's replace actual data for security.
When I attempt to make a connection by clicking the SC exe file, there is a slight pause and I get a popup message with a heading of
WinVNV Usage
and a message of
-connect http://xxx.xxvnc.com:5500 -noregistry
Can you see what I'm doing wrong?

In the prior post the bulletin board added the word "spam" in the URL's
Also
I can enter the static name in the address bar in IE and it attempts to open my router so the link of the static name to my dynamic IP address appears to be working.
