VNC SC and VNC Viewer Problems

Post by Belynda »

Hi
I am new to VNC and am trying to setup sc to work on our internal network for testing and then on the WAN. I have created the EXE and it is on one computer with VNC Viewer and VNC Server on another. I have set the VNC Viewer to listen mode but when i try and test the SC it opens and then nothing happens. Not sure if I have the right configurations.

Another question is do you need to setup VNC Viewer in any way?

Please help this confused soul!!!

You might want to take at look at pchelpware. It will be the replacement for single click in 2007...

At this stage I DON'T have a choice. It has to be VNC Single Click.

(What the IT manager says..... goes)

pchelpware use same port of singleClick and lot better than SC !:-)
so your IT manager won't see any difference except if their try check the traffic but their unable to do it, because all session is encrypted from factory :-)
pchelpware work as same manner of SC but is not compatible VNC

The problem is that he doesn't like what he doesn't know (and he is an IT Manager??? How does that work :P ) and he has used the VNC before. I asked him about this yesterday and he told me if I couldn't do the job he would give it to one of my technicians to do......

So I guess i am stuck with trying to figure out VNC SC  ....... But thanks anyway for your suggestion...
