I'm a bit confused. All that I need to do is set the following and the user will be prompted when a viewer connects, correct?
"QueryAccept"=dword:00000000
"QueryTimeout"=dword:00000005
"QuerySetting"=dword:00000004
For some reason, it is still allowing connections without prompting the user. If I open the server properties and set it within there, it works but no registry settings have changed.
Is there something that I am missing?

QuerySetting
Re: QuerySetting
Yes I have the same problem.
I use STRCM from SystemTools to remotely deploy UltraVNC, and when installed with these registry keys, it doesn't query the user to accept the connection.
There must be something more that needs to be performed.
Any help greatly appreciated.

Re: QuerySetting
I don't know if this helps, but I've noticed...
I made an msi package for ultravnc. In it, the reg settings
for for the query is set.
I've noticed after my package installs that if I manually start the service, the query prompt does not work, but if I reboot and let the service start after that, it works.
It does work though if I click on the winvnc exe to load it that way.
Try closing the winvnc process and clicking on winvnc.exe to load it again.
Does that make sence?

Re: QuerySetting
Hi
I create a msi ultravnc.msi as gepet's post "oHow to make your own UltraVNC Server MSI". It works well, thanks gepeto !
I am having the same problem, when I stop the service and restart winvnc server with the file winvnc.exe I have the query but when I start with the service I don't have the query.
I compared the registry base with a other pc that I made a normal installation and and they are the same but they don't work on the same way
Did anyone find the solution for this problem ?
Thanks a lot !
