MSLOGON1 on WIN98 failed

Post by fabian »

Hello,

Server runs on a Win98 machine and the Viewer on a XP SP2 machine.
I've copied RADMIN.dll and RLOCAL32.DLL into the system directory.
I've also enabled the NTLM security under network settings.
Both machines are running in the same domain.

In the mslogon.log there is this message
"14/11/2006 9:08 Invalid attempt from client x.x.x.x using xxx account"

Thanks

MSlogon will only work on windows 2000 or XP pro to my knowledge. I do not think it is compatible with win9X.

But the documentation says it is so provided they are in the same domain so I am not 100% sure it wont. They did have a bug fix for the mslogon from version 1.01 to 1.02 of UVNC so it is possible maybe you are finding another bug.

Does it work with standard authenication??

Hello bevtech,

The standard authentication has no problems, but if the mslogon works only on w2k and higher, why they describe it on the homepage?

"To use MS Logon under Windows 95, Windows 98, and Windows Millennium Edition, you also have to enable the NTLM security services by opening Control Panel, Network, Access Control, and then selecting User-level access control. Win 9.x require 2 dlls radmin32.dll and rlocal32.dll "

I'm using the 1.02 Version

Thanks

I saw that and was wondering why it was listed that way but I am not sure. I am hoping that developer can shed some light on the this issues.
